I am a guy and had a body perm last Saturday. The hairdresser said that blowdrying my hair would be damaging and also would maybe make the perm drop out too quickly, so she said it was better to dry my hair under a hood dryer or let it dry natural. So she put my hair on larger rollers and then dried it under a dryer. Now I need to wash my hair at home. My older sister says that if I don't put my hair in rollers the hair may dry more tighter curls if I just leave it to dry naturally. Is this true? She said she could roll it for me, but we don't have a hood dryer. She thinks it best to let the hair dry natural on the rollers. How long would that take?
Drying hair on rollers?
that depends on the length and thickness of your hair, could take a couple of hours, could take 1/2 an hour. you could put in on the rollers, and then use a blow dryer
Drying hair on rollers?
totally depends on how long and how thick your hair is. if i put my hair up when it is still wet it will still be wet 24 hours later. blow it dry on a cooler setting. and dont use big sections of hair to roll.
Drying hair on rollers?
depending on the length of your hair and type of rollers that you use
i f you have layered shoulder lenghth hair it could take any time between 2 hours and 4 hrs to air dry your hair.
I agree with your hairdresser that it is best to let your hair dry naturally
You could also try to sleep in your rollers if you do not want to set it during the day
drying time can also depend upon the end result that you want to acheive, please note smaller rollers will give you more curls and larger rollers will give more volume. smaller rollers take longer as more hair is wrapped around them and can take up to 8rs to dry
Hope this is of help and enjoy your roller setting experience
Drying hair on rollers?
Your hair will have more shine and body if you let dry naturally. Need to continue to roll your hair. My hair goes just past my shoulders and I roll my hair with 45 large two piece magnetic rollers and it takes six to eight hours to dry. I wet set my hair all the time. I never use heat.
