I cant keep my hair straight for longer than a few hours...?

... I wet, cover in straitening cream stuff to stop the heat damaging my hair, dry it with the dryer and straighten it, but it curls within three hours, guaranteed. I also use loads of Hair spray, but it never helps. Any advice.

I cant keep my hair straight for longer than a few hours...?

I used to have this problem but the following works for me...

Wash using a smoothing anit-frizz shampoo.

Rough dry until about 85% dry.

Separate hair into sections and blow dry straight.

Separate dry hair into sections and spritz with straightening spray/heat protector (I recommend GHD products).

Straighten one section at a time with GHD straightening irons.

Spray in place with something like frizz-eeze hairspray.

It's all about taking your time, using good products and doing it in sections. The quality of the hair straighteners definitely count. GHD are the best, if not then at least go for ceramic plated. Good luck!

Failing all that, you could just embrace your natural curls...

i have the same problem... its humidity that causes your hair to curl. hair spray isn't going to help. this is what i use: tiger by grund. spray it twice into your hand and then work it into your hair. then blow dry it, then i put redken heat glide in and straighten my hair. after you straighten your hair, it is important to have an anti-friz or smoothing serum worked in. SuperSkinny by paul mitchell also works excellent..

i have very curly hair and my hair use to do the same thing.

i have an iron that goes up to 450. i use the highest setting because my hair is very thick. wash my hair the day before and sleep with it down that night, so it will be dry in the morning. then i spray it with "Ion anti-frizz solutions heat protection" i straiten very small sections. it usually takes me about an hour and a half. when I'm done i use Frizz-Ease secret weapon and spray with hair spray. it works like a charm. just stay out of humidity and don't get it wet!! :D

I cant keep my hair straight for longer than a few hours...?

have you tried straightening really small sections at a time ,and about three times each section and using the best straighteners, with a high heat, if your hair is really curly though the only other way is with chemical straightening but you need to get the advice from a good hairdresser(my hairdresser users ghd straighteners which i invested in as they are really expensive but i wont buy anything else now)

I cant keep my hair straight for longer than a few hours...?

There is a product by Matrix in the Sleek line called "lock down". It locks out humidity or moisture which is probably why your hair curls up. Other companies may make a similar product. You have to get it at a hair salon.

I cant keep my hair straight for longer than a few hours...?

oooh i am sooo jealous - I always wanted curly hair

I cant keep my hair straight for longer than a few hours...?

OK I had the same problem but I don't have curly hair I have little waves my hair is natrually straight but not pen straight or anything it has waves and so my mom has a cosmetology license and so she does hair etc. and so I asked her since she knows all about it and she just said put frizz cream stuff in it or some gloss drops now of course it might have little waves your hair just WON'T stay pen straight if you don't have it naturally if you always want your hair straight get a straight perm and your hair will stay STRAIGHT for about 6 months.....my mom has been doing hair for 20 something years and is really good she knows what she is talking about it might not work on your hair if your hair is very curly.....make sure you use the heat protecting spray before straightening and you should be fine but then again GET A NEW STRAIGHTENER as well maybe a CHI one those cost like 90 or 100 but they are worth it they work good I used to have one I use a andis one it works really really good and gets HOT so it will straighten good but you know.....

I cant keep my hair straight for longer than a few hours...?

try GHDS i swear by these things, my hair is very wavy and curley but it stays dead straight with these and i have had them nearly two years now, they are quite costly but worth every penny!
