so guys, i know there is the straightening iron for your hair. but that can get harmful to your hair you know......burning it every time you wanna look gorgeous. so how bout some other methods or tools for getting styles? Tell me hairstlyes you like working with as well if you have time. And what other tools can you suggest? i'm open to curling suggestions as well. And do you agree the blow dryer can friz your hair?

i have very wavy hair....the only ways i can straighten it is with an iron or with the hairdryer and and a big round brush....when i use the hairdryer i have to use anti frizz serum and it takes so long as my hair is very thick....ive been using the iron for 7years now...admittedly i only use it 2 times a week and my hair is fine...regular treatments help

Aveda makes a product "Hang Straight" that you can apply to your wet hair and blow dry straight ~ try it with a paddle brush.

If you must use a flat iron, go with high quality. I like my "Chi", little expensive but worth it. It heats up REALLY hot, therefore I don't have to go over and over and over a piece of hair (that's where most of the damage comes from). I only have to go over the section once (maybe twice). You also want to put a protecting product in your hair when it's wet to help protect from the flat iron. You can use the Hang Straight then too. Another great Aveda prodcut is "Light Elements Finishing Solution".
