Yes. Overdrying the hair causes strands to dry out and break. Your best bet is to blowdry your hair 80 percent dry, and let the rest dry naturally. When you can, you should skip the blowdryer altogether.

You should buy a product that helps protect against heat. I straighten my hair almost everyday and I use a little heat protectant oil from chi and I also use a frizz serum to prevent my hair from becoming frizzy and even then my hair is soo dry and damaged from straightening it!!! So, tips is use protection and don't straighten it everyday.

They are damaging to your hair. The heat is not good. It dries your hair out. Try using a moisturizing shampoo/conditioner. If your hair gets too dried out, it begins too look fried.

Yes, its bad for your hair. I think there are some products out there that will keep your hair fromfrying, though. I dont blow dry my hairoften. If I do, I blowdry it only to thepoint where its not soaking wet and let the rest blow dry naturally. Looks better anyways. I have curly hair so I put mouse and gel in it.

Yes, both are bad for your hair if you use it often (like every day). Use a product that protects your hair from heat-styling to minimize damage.

I never blow dry just let my hair dry naturally and then if I am going to straighten it I put in some Chi hair product for use with flat ironing or you can use another product formulated for hot iron use to help condition. When buying a flat iron get a ceramic plate one it's a little less damaging then a metal one. Also don't use it daily, make sure you use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner as well to maintain healthy hair. I only use the flat iron once in a while when I am going out somewhere special or something.

you should buy hair products that protect against heat damage and dont hold your straightener on your hair for a long time.
