my daughter has lice (a huge pain) and i was wondering if the heat from her hairstraightener and blow dryer would kill the lice eggs and lice? any other suggestions?

try lice-removing shampoo and a lice removing comb. i dunno about the heat killing them though, and even if it did, they're often behind your ears and on skin, where it is hard to get heat.

Nope it doesn't and the meds they sell over the counter is costly. Cheap and effective was to get rid of them is buy a bottle of lamp oil and put it in your hair leave it a few minutes and wash it out. Might have to wash for a few times but, once did that I never had to treat my daughters' hair again and that was after I bought all te other stuff like Rid. And the oil was only .97 cents at Wal Mart. Don't even need the comb they washed out.

lice hate heat so it might weaken them but you should really try to getg the shampoo it works wonders belive me ive had it too

no, but i have had headlice many times when i was younger. You can put vaseline in her hair, that will kill the bugs. but then you still have to go through her head and pull out all the eggs. She can pull her hair back in a ponytail and put some hairspray on it. lice like clean, moving hair. hairspray makes it difficult to move around.
