Is it possible to get blonde hair without splitting?

I'm thinking about getting blonde hair or blonde highlights at the salon. I had highlights before, and they damaged the hair so badly that every strand of hair was split and frayed all along the shaft. I know that damage comes with all bleaching, and I wont mind if my hair's a little dryer if it's possible to bleach it without fraying the hair. If anyone who has done this before has any advice, that'd be great. Thanks =)

I highlight my hair often and I have very healthy hair. Go to a good stylist! Use good quality daily hair products. Deep condition every couple of weeks. That person must have left the bleach on way too long! The stylist will know to cut your hair AFTER the highlighting, this will trim off any minimal damage that might occur to the ends.

You need to find a professinal hair stylist that can analyze your hair before you bleach it .I do mine and my hair is in great condition A proffessional will not fry your hair .Hair should always have a good cut before bleaching I use IONS protien treatments from Salley s on mine .It keeps it sleek and healthy

I am thinking that they may have used the wrong bleach on ur hair...perhaps they used the on the scalp bleach which is way stronger..their is a bleach that can be used that can touch the scalp but it doesn't lift as much..from ur picture it looked like you have brown hair and brown eyes...so maybe it was also the fact that ur hair had to lift so many levels to get to blond...i had that trouble before too..but i would lift to an gold blond level and tone with a violet based toner to a blond color...and then use tons of conditioner..that way i wasn't lifting my hair too much and destroying it
