How do I get it out of my hair? I have tried dryer sheets and they do not work so well.

Hi, using the right hair products. Fine, or even fine thin hair tends to get static, very straight hair and very curly hair. It has to do with the way the cuticle (outside layer) of the hair is shaped. Using shampoos and conditioners and styling products meant for these types of hair, as well as allowing hair to dry to almost 50 percent or more before blow drying will reduce the staticity of the hair. I like redken products, but I also like biolage particularly, 'shine serum' as well. Use the shine serum and other products like these by other manufacturers sparingly and spritz lightly on your hands and work from the ends to within two inches of your scalp. You can do this on either wet, or dry hair and it may take a few times before you learn how to use it. It will make the hair look oily if you get it too close to the scalp or use too much product. Sleek looks by matrix is a very good line, and if you intend to use shampoo, conditioner, and serum, its a good , thrifty idea to by the whole line, usually retailers (salons) will sell it at the holidays in a package deal. Not only that, the scent will mesh, because its all the same. They (Matrix) have a line for curly hair as well. Curl something. I can't recall right now.

That is an indication of cuticle damage. You need to acidify your hair. Try using Nexxus Phyto Organics Nectaress conditioner. After one use, your static should be gone!!

spray some scotch guard on your brush or comb before you use it. be careful though-it stinks but you only need a little.

i have the same exact problem. it's cuz my hair gets so dry in the winter! i use this 24/7 moisturizing creme made by sunsilk. i love it. i just put some in my hair after washing and style like usual. i found my hair doesn't stick up as much and doesn't really static as much. it doesn't cost that much either!

spray your hairbrush with hairspray and gently brush your hair.This should tame the static.

I used to have the same problem, then I quit using an actual hairbrush. Now I just use a wide toothed comb and I have had no problems since. If not - use a little gel or serum (NOT much) to keep it laying down.

Take A very tiny amount of lotions and run that through your hair. Not alot of it wil look greasy.

Spray static guard on your brush them brush it. Make sure you are not using a thick bristle brush it will add tp the problem.
