My hair is starting to get oily faster than usual, what's the problem?

i have fairly thick hair. for the past 7 months or so, i've been keeping it up everyday, and i also haven't used a straightener or blow-dryer in the past 6 or so. i used to be able to wash my hair every other day, but now its almost like i need to wash it everyday. i've never had this problem. but its weird because its only my bangs that get oily and they look stringy and wet.

the only things i can think of that might be causing this the fact that i have gym in the morning and i sweat a little.

i heard it could also be hormone related.

what's the problem ?

It's probably the gym.

put on some good shampoo and conditioner.

A lot of time as you get older your hair natually has more oils in it and a lot of hair stylists say its bad to wash it everyday because it strips your hair of the natuaral chemicals. but i straighten mine daily and i am an athlete so i get what you mean by it gets oily after you work out.

if you feel like you dont want to wash the rest of your hair every day you can just pull it back and keep your bangs down and just wash them in the sink every morning. Thats what i used to do and it worked great.

if u wash ur hair 2 much it can do this or u could try asking ur doctor because my mom has this prob and she hates it 2 as 4 the thick hair u could go to a salon and get it thinned it helps a lot but if those tips dont work u should ask a salon person or get a hormone check up wit ur doctor

It could be the gym, or it may be that you are showering TOO much. It's happened to me before, showering EVERY day for a while, my hair would get either dried out or all oily. At gym, try pulling back ALL of your hair into a hair tie, you know, even brushing your bangs back, and using bobby pins if needed. Hope this helps!

I don't know exactly what could be causing the excess oil but if you take half a cup of lemon juice half a cup of water and put it on your scalp in a warm towel for 10 mins and then was well it will remove extra grease for a while. It really works and u might have to switch shampoos i recommend pantene pro-v ice shine shampoo and conditioner. AND NEVER PUT CONDITIONER ON YOUR SCALP IT MAKES IT GROSS AND GREASER!

hey

yeah it could be the gym and yes it is probably hormone related..this has happened to my firends. Is your face oliy? After the gym you sohlud wash your face or take a shower.Another reason could be fast food like Macdonalds,Wendys, ect... dont eat those kind of foods. If nothing helps maybe when you at the gym you should pull your bangs back in a hair band.Anyway i really hope i helped!

Good luck
