Drying my bathroom rug?

It was recommended that it to dry outside, or at least in my bathroom. Would it be a good idea to hang it in the bathroom and use a hair dryer on cold air setting to assist with the drying process? I need it dried relatively quickly.

The hair dryer idea might work. Just don't use hot air... it will make the bad crack. Outside would really be the best...

You can use a hair dryer, but if you want it dried quickly, then a heat setting is recommended. It will not damage it like putting it in a dryer.

using a hair dryer with heat would dry it way faster. what could it hurt?.. unless it's like a really expensive delicate fabric, in which case i wouldn't be using it for a bathroom rug.

I'd say that would be fine!But if that dosn't work definently hang it out side!yeah and leave the blow dryer on cold so you don't start a fire!Good luck and god bless!

It will drip drip drip all over the place... just ring it out the best you can in the tub by stepping on it.... and put it in the dryer for about 15 minutes..thats it... you can line dry it for the rest of the time over the shower curtain rod.

The cold air wil not slow the drying process down as long as it's not below 40 degrees. As long as you have a wind blowing it will dry. You could use a hair dryer but you would be there all day.

I might suggest that you use a wet/dry vac to remove as much moisture as possible and then hang it over the bath tub and use a house fan to blow warm house air on it. This should speed it up.

But depending on the thinkness of the rug and size and the total moisture in the rug will be the determining factor on how long it takes.

Yes that would be a perfect solution as it would be just as if you hung it outside in the breeze.

How wet is it?

If it's very wet you might want to lay it between 2 towels and roll the whole bundel up tight to absorb excess water before drying it.

Using a hair dryer on hot would be better than cold. It's not going to start a fire. It's just like drying wet hair. You just can't leave it in one spot.

If it's a warm day putting it in the sun would dry it the fastest though. Or you could always throw it in the dryer for a bit. If you're worried about the dryer you could put it on a delicate setting.

Put it in the dryer on the air dry cycle. This uses no heat, only air to remove the moisture from the rug. The rug may be slightly damp when the cycle is finished. If so, hang it over the curtain rod in the bathroom to finish drying.

Put it outside to dry, depending on the size of the rug I would put it in the dryer to reshape it, sometimes the sun tends to bend but if its too big use the dryer to help reshaping it...

If you have other stuff that needs to go in the dryer, try putting the bath mat ON TOP OF (not in) the dryer (assuming you have a flat-topped dryer). Keep the mat there while you dry your other loads of wet stuff. The escaping heat will help the mat dry, but won't melt or crack it.

A HEATER, FANS , YEAH A BLOW DRYER OR OUTSIDE WELL WORK ..JUST BE PATIENT.... ITS GANNA B OK
