I have an ion hair dryer, hot roller, and flat iron, and I can definitely see a difference when I use those tools compared to the others that I have that aren't ionic. The ionic ones make the hair shinier, smoother, and I believe they cause less damage.
Does the ion technology in hair dryers really work?
When hair is wet, it is vulnerable to damage. They say that you should not style your hair when it is wet. Having said that ionic hair dryers are really fast. It used to take me 1/2 hour to dry my hair. Now I can do it in 5 minutes with a very inexpensive Revlon Ion dryer. Bear in mind that my hair is to my waist and pretty high maintenance. Now it is easier to style my hair.
