How to blowdry hair straight?

i have never blow dried my hair straight, but i need help. i was think as soon as i get out of the shower i towel dry my hair then i put in leave in, then i want to comb and as i comb i will pull the dryer downward? do u guy think that will work, my hair is 2 inches past my bra strap and curly. any advice would help.

First make sure your hair is well conditioned, try this

Take any of the following oils.....

Olive oil, coconut oil, or avocado oil, and apply to the hair, WHILE ITS DRY! Work it through from scalp to ends, cover with some type of plastic cap.. then take a towel HOT from the dryer, and wrap it around your head turban style..... Leave it on for about one hour, or even more for extra dry, damaged hair.

Wash your hair with a tiny bit of moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. Run your hair under cold water. Squeeze out the excess water and apply straightning/frizz serum to your hair. Apply to the ends of your hair, not to the roots, so that they don't get oily. You might want to add some mousse for extra hold.

Detangle any knots using a wide-toothed comb If your hair is really knotty, try using a detangling spray. Do not brush!

Pin up the top section of your hair and use the round brush to blow dry your hair. Hold the hair sections out taut and point the hairdryer down to dry it. Do this section by section, so that your hair is completely dry. You may want to then dry up the hair, from the neck to the end of the strands. This makes it easier to get the hair on the back of the head.

If you have decided to use a hair straightener, put your hair into sections again, and run over your hair with the straightener. Grip one section of hair. Clamp the flat iron onto the top portion of the section. Slowly, move the iron down your hair. Repeat up to three times.

Brush hair, and finish off with a small amount of serum.

Tips

Before you get out of the shower, rinse your hair with cold water. This will make your hair extra shiny!

When blowdrying your hair, make sure the hairdryer is pointing down, so that all the hair folicles point down, which equals super shiny hair, which is the look we're going for! Also, before blow-drying, consider applying a heat protection spray.

Don't use too much hair serum or hair products, because you don't want your hair to look lank and greasy.

Some good products to try: Chi Silk Infusion or Redken Smooth Down, Nexxus Heat Protexx.

If your hair is fragile, use a low setting on the iron. If it's thick and unruly, make the heat almost the hottest it can be.

Warnings

Don't brush your hair when it's wet, because it stretches and breaks the hair. Always use a wide-toothed comb.

If you're in a rush and need to dry your hair, don't take the easy way out and use your hair straightner when it's wet. See that steam coming out? It dries out your hair. Always use a hairdryer prior to straightening.

ALWAYS use heat protection spray or else your hair will get damaged from straightener.

put a heat protectant when it is wet because ur hair is curly(mine too) and than brush it. after that put hair half way up and then blow dry in sections. try using a very large round brush or a paddle brush!

I think getting out of the shower and towel drying your hair is good and put leave in conditor is a good idea. But when you are going to blow dry your hair i think you should do it by sections starting from the bottom and working your way up. So you can tell someone to help you with that. That is what i do and i have curly hair too.
