i just want something that straightens my hair more before i use my straightner.

just be careful, so you dont make the brushes dont get broken

it should be OK, especially since you arent relying on it to get your hair perfectly straight... because it cant do that. but since you are going to be using your straightener AFTER... it should serve its purpose! Conairs tend to be pretty sturdy.. I've never had one that hasnt lasted at least 3 years, and at only $20 bux a pop, thats not so bad.

I say go ahead and try it. Just use it for a few days and see if it seems durable and like it works well. If not then you can always return it, of course within the given trial days. If it seems to be as good as new after a few uses then keep it.
